Originally founded as Harlington Wine (now HWB GROUP) by Jerome Harlington in 2005 as a specialist UK import wine broker, he quickly established an excellent reputation for his unique positioning as the first broker to market Slovenian Wine in 2008 achieving National Account listings for Puklavec Wines in both the Grocery Sector and Multiple Restaurant Groups.

Harlington Wine has introduced over fifty UK import boutique and niche wine producers from across the world to the UK market, including shipping the full production of Barkus Estates from Napa Valley; Sirromet Wines, from Granite Belt, Queensland, the first to enter the UK from the region; Umamu from Western Australia,  and many others across France including Patrimoine des Terroirs group and the CTG wine group from  Italy and beyond. 

Through a reputation of excellence, achieved listings for their clients  in some of the most prestigious restaurants in the World including The Ledbury and Dinner by Heston Blumenthal at the Mandarin Oriental, The Gilbert Scott, Texture, and many others…

With a rich background in the drinks industry, Jerome Harlington brings a wealth of expertise to the table. Having honed his skills at prestigious companies like Majestic Wine Plc and Mentzendorff under Champagne Bollinger, Jerome's journey is marked by quality. Jerome has an FMCG background in sales and marketing, garnered from his time at Johnson & Johnson Plc and Colgate Palmolive Plc, and is also the driving force behind HWB GROUP, Founded in 2005 as Harlington Wine. Since 2017, as a certified business adviser, enterprise mentor, and management consultant, Jerome has worked with over 150 CEOs and business leaders across the public and private sectors, helping them to unlock their growth potential. Jerome is fully committed to supporting businesses with ambition to enter the UK market. This dedication goes well beyond offering a simple import service.

HWB GROUP COO, Joy Katharina Lorck-Schierning, specialised in UK Import
Joy Katharina Lorck-Schierning is a young, dynamic force in the Beverage sector and has been involved since 2020, both collaboratively with Jerome and independently. A graduate of the University of Buckingham with a BSc in Business Enterprise and an MSc in Monetary Policy, she has both a strong academic and practical business background. With a heritage deeply rooted in the Rum Industry, Joy is the granddaughter of Norbert Lorck-Schierning, the 5th generation owner of POTT Rum, a German legacy brand that continues to grace supermarket shelves today since its acquisition by Dr Oetker. She has familial connections to the renowned Appleton Estate, now acquired by Campari Group. In 2021, Joy co-founded YEN, a luxury Gin brand from New Zealand. In 2023, she co-founded Pink Power Coffee, a premium organic coffee company from Miami. Her ambition is a testament to her entrepreneurial spirit and passion to innovate and support businesses to succeed.
